|Opportunities to Volunteer for WSQ|
|Several elected positions and non-elected positions have opened up. For more details call the current committee head or Patty Yedinak, our president. Refer to your newsletter for phone numbers or use the e-mail addresses on the Board Member page.
Click here to see the entire listing of the board and their e-mail addresses.
Three elected positions are open for nominations: President, Treasurer and Secretary. Contact Kathy Woods of the Nomination Committee for further information about the jobs.
Our Volunteer Coordinator, Robin Waggoner, is requesting WSQ members complete a member profile form to help her direct our member resources to the appropriate committees when need arises. Directions on how to return this form to Robin are noted at the bottom. Thank you.
Click here for a pdf of the form.
The Library Committee is losing its chairman, Linda Dickens, at the end of this year. The library will no longer be available to you without a replacement for the (hopefully not) irreplaceable Linda. Join up now and she will mentor you through the July and September meetings. Have your family (as Linda has done) or your friends assist you to set up the books at WSQ general meetings.
The Publicity Committee needs a chairman and people to assist her team. Advisors and mentors help you learn what to do. No need to reinvent the wheel: publicity done in the past just needs repeating. Graphic design and marketing skills are especially needed.
The Historian is vacant. It is a fun job, taking photos taking pictures of quilts and showing them off in albums or posting them on-line.
The hospitality committee always needs help to deal with the logistics of the quarterly meetings, including picking up the door prizes (fun!), working with the great staff at CenterPlace, assisting with the show and tell, and checking people in at the door.
Several people sharing the work make it fun.
This is a good entry place for new members who want to meet and greet, without a heavy commitment in time.
The 2017 raffle quilt needs help selling raffle tickets this summer. Volunteers are always needed to help at various venues around town.
The Webmasters can always use help. This job you can do this in your jammies! We are never too old to learn something new and Debra and Annie are glad to share their skills. Have you worked with website design in the past? Then you can share your expertise. Do you like keeping your brain active? Playing with Google Analytics is for you!
Even if there are no specific openings everyone can use some help so feel free to contact either Patty Yedinak or the committee chair. To contact Patty: firstname.lastname@example.org
And sign up for the quilt show begins at WSQ's July meeting. Click here for information on volunteer opportunities for the quilt show.
