There are a few housekeeping items to review about registering for classes. The class registration forms can be found in the newsletter and below. Class Registration Reminders:
  • Fill out the form completely and legibly.
  • Include your email address if you have one as this is the primary way supply lists and other class information is delivered.
  • Include the ENTIRE form with your check so that it is clear which class you are signing up for.
  • Include your check with the registration form. You are not registered for a class until payment is received. Spaces will not be held without payment.

Becky Goldsmith is September's Speaker

Becky Goldsmith is an award-winning quilter who travels to teach quilting both nationally and internationally. Her classes are always interesting and informative, with an emphasis on teaching techniques that help you improve your sewing skills without making you crazy.

Becky started Piece O' Cake Designs with Linda Jenkins in 1994. They published more than 30 books and hundreds of patterns, including 7 Blocks of the Month. Linda retired in 2014 and Becky has continued writing books and patterns.

Making quilts is interesting, fulfilling, and challenging—and being a member of the quilting community is an added bonus. Becky never imagined that being a quilter would become her life’s work, but she’s so happy that it did!

There are still openings in both workshops but register soon before they are full!

Friday's Class- Tile Tango — Hand Applique Class

This needle turn hand applique class focuses on the invisible applique stitch, outer points, and inner and outer curves.

Each 8" x 8" block holds one flower. Four 8" blocks are sewn together make the larger 16" block. You will work on one 8” block in class. The block pattern (from the book, The Quilter's Practical Guide To Color) is provided in class.

All skill levels welcome.

Saturday's Class- Bullseye — Foundation Paper-Piecing Class

Learn the secrets of foundation paper-piecing and set-in circles! You will find that this 20" block is a whole lot easier to construct than you thought it would be.

Each ring is made up of foundation paper-pieced sections that are sewn together into complete rings. The rings are set together as they are completed.

Choose fabrics and colors for your own block to set the mood you want, either vintage OR modern.

All skill levels welcome.
